Kesha's New Band
Watch her perform new renditions of "Blow" and "Timber" with her new band, the Yeast Infection.

The stakes are high for Kesha. On Tuesday, January 26, she heads to court for the latest hearing for her lawsuit against Dr. Luke and Sony. (“The fate of my career changes Tuesday,” she says.) But she is also trying to maintain a positive outlook, as shown in a bedroom recording that fan account @keshaTODAY posted over the weekend. After thanking her fans, she sang the opening verse of gospel standard “Amazing Grace,” her voice delicate yet raw.

“I can’t put out new music, but I can sing a little something of someone else’s songs,” she says.

Leading up to the holidays, Kesha did her first gig with her new band the Yeast Infection, where they covered Led Zeppelin and solo pop hits like “Timber.” But if this week’s hearing doesn’t go her way, she may never record original songs again. Kesha has accused Dr. Luke of sexual, physical, verbal and emotional abuse, and Sony for failing to act in response; as her attorneys put it, Kesha’s only options as of now are to either work with her alleged abuser or quit music entirely.
