Zendaya Teases Timbaland-Produced Track
Zendaya teases another track from her much-anticipated sophomore LP.

According to Headline Planet, the lead single from Zendaya’s sophomore LP is called “Something New” and features the ever-prolific Chris Brown. “The label’s radio promotions team confirmed that [the song] will be released for digital download and streaming on February 5,” they write. “Four days later, it will officially impact the pop radio format.” That gives you just over a week to brace yourself for the “Replay” diva’s return!

The 19-year-old parted ways with Hollywood Records in 2014 in order to pursue a more credible R&B sound and has been working with industry heavyweights like Timbaland, Diane Warren and Babyface since joining Republic. “For being as big as they are, they could easily be such divas,” Zendaya told Complex. “I think part of them having longevity is the fact that they were never afraid to continue to learn from young people. They don’t treat me like I don’t know anything.”

A collaboration with Breezy would certainly help the rising star shake off those Disney shackles. “Something New” follows Timbaland-produced buzz track “Close Up,” which she teased on Instagram.
