The singer teams up with the Toronto rapper once again.

Zayn Malik’s official transformation as solo artist will begin on Friday (January 29), when his lead single is set to drop. The artist was also scheduled to appear on The Graham Norton Show that night for his first solo TV appearance to further promote his music, but now he has backed out of the gig.

His reps shared this statement today: “Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with recording commitments, Zayn’s appearance on Graham Norton has been postponed. Zayn has confirmed that he would love to appear on the show at a later date.” This cancellation doesn’t too pose well for the former One Direction member, as it was meant to jumpstart his solo stardom. UK soul singer Laura Mvula has replaced Malik as the musical guest.

There is no word when Zayn will re-appear on the BBC segment or if he plans on appearing on another talk show, but we can expect his new single “Pillow Talk” to arrive on Friday via RCA Records.
