David Bowie‘s final LP released in his lifetime, Blackstar, maintains its perch atop the UK album chart for a third week in a row, the Official Charts Company reports. Further to that, Bowie holds five positions within the Top 10, as compilations Best Of Bowie and Nothing Has Changed hang around for another week while studio albums Hunky Dory and The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars hop up to #9 and #10, respectively.

Altogether, 18 Bowie albums fill the UK Top 100, 12 of which are in the Top 40. This has the Thin White Duke matching Elvis Presley‘s chart record for simultaneous Top 40 entries, achieved following the King’s death in 1977 — the same year, incidentally, Bowie released his “Heroes” album (currently at #28 on the chart).

Also forever tying David Bowie and Elvis together: The two pop icons share the same birthday of January 8, though Presley was 12 years Bowie’s senior.
