Rihanna's 'ANTI': Track-By-Track Review
We break down Rihanna's polarizing 8th LP.

Rihanna’s long-overdue ANTI LP debuts at number 27 on the Billboard 200 this week. While that placing seems somewhat lackluster, the album was only available for one day of the tracking week — moving the equivalent of 15,896 album units (streaming and sales). Never fear, Navy. RiRi’s latest is expected to top the chart next week with a predicted tally of 125,000 units. However, that number still seems low. To put things into perspective, Adele’s 25 sold more than two million copies in its first week, while Beyonce’s visual album racked up 600,000+ downloads in three days.

Of course, those albums weren’t given away for free before being officially released. The one million copies purchased by Samsung were deemed chart ineligible by Billboard, which explains why the much-hyped opus arrives with a whimper. On the bright side, lead single “Work” is shaping up to be a smash — crashing the Billboard Hot 100 at number nine. With exploding radio airplay and a video on the horizon, it has a very good chance of reaching number one in the weeks to come.
