The Grammys may be around the corner, but our Canadian neighbors are also planning their own music awards. The 2016 JUNO Awards nominations have arrived courtesy of Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences today (February 2).

Pop music staples like Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Alessia Cara, Tobias Jesso Jr. and Shawn Mendes all scored nominations. Drake and The Weeknd are also up for some of the same categories, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Single of the Year. For the Best International Album category, Adele, Meghan Trainor, One Direction, Hozier and Vance Joy will go head to head.

Look out for the 45th annual JUNO Awards on April 3, where they will be held at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Click here for the full list of nominations.
