Sabrina Carpenter Previews New Single “Smoke And Fire”
Sabrina Carpenter makes a welcome return to the pop scene on February 19 with new single “Smoke And Fire.” A gutsy break-up anthem, the first taste of the Girl Meet World star’s sophomore LP hints at a newfound maturity in her songwriting. “I hadn’t written for, I want to say, eight months since the first album released, and I just had a lot of stories building up,” the 16-year-old told Instagram’s official music account.
“I kind of write wherever I go,” she continues. “So even when I’m not in a professional session, I’m always writing down things in my phone and in my notes on stuff that inspired me and stuff that I see in everyday life.” Sabrina carved out a niche as Disney’s country-pop princess with stellar EP Can’t Blame A Girl For Trying and 2015 debut album Eyes Wide Open, which delivered gems “We’ll Be The Stars” and “Best Thing I Got.” Listen to a snippet of her latest below.
