As with every year, songs performed at Super Bowl are enjoying a massive renaissance on iTunes. Coldplay’s “Adventure Of A Lifetime,” “Viva La Vida” and “Paradise” rank in the top 10, as does Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.” Conspicuously absent is Beyonce’s conversation-starting “Formation” — due to the fact that it’s only available to stream via Tidal. However, it seems some viewers mistook the song for “Run The World (Girls)” and downloaded Queen Bey’s 2011 hit instead.

The Major Lazer-sampling anthem enjoyed a massive sales spike post Super Bowl, climbing all the way to number 42 (thus far). The confusion is forgivable. “Formation” only arrived on Saturday (February 6) and the song’s live arrangement evoked the militaristic swag of “Run The World (Girls).” Queen Bey’s scene-stealing set also resulted in three of her album soaring up the download chart. (4, I Am… Sasha Fierce and self-titled are all top 100).

You can only imagine how well Beyonce’s new single would be performing in the wake of her Super Bowl appearance if it were readily available. Revisit Bey’s vintage hit below.
