Sia, Pink, Eddie Vedder & More Cover The Beatles For Netflix’s ‘Beat Bugs’ Series
A slew of artists are lending their voices for Neflix’s upcoming animated series Beat Bugs — but it won’t be original songs! Sia, Pink, Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder, The Shins, Regina Spektor, James Corden, Birdy, James Bay, Soundgarden‘s Chris Cornell and more will be covering classic Beatles songs.
The children’s series focuses on five friends who explore their suburban backyard, and the covers of the Fab Four’s tracks will help to push the uplifting plots. According to the teaser, Pink will tackle “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” and Sia will try her hand at “Blackbird.”
Show creator Josh Wakely said this in a statement: “Bringing Beat Bugs to life on Netflix and having a platform to re-imagine this universally acclaimed music for families around the world is an exhilarating and rewarding experience. Our partners have been fantastic in making this concept a vivid reality, and this is a great example of the innovative and fresh storytelling at the heart of Grace’s ethos.”
