Hailee Steinfeld Teams Up With DNCE For New Version Of “Rock Bottom”
Hailee Steinfeld made the leap from Academy Award-nominated child actress to shiny pop diva in spectacular style last year with “Love Myself.” A slightly naughty (when you think about it) synth-pop anthem with a massive chorus, the Mattman & Robin-produced anthem climbed all the way to number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. The 19-year-old is hoping to land an even bigger hit with the second single from debut EP HAIZ — a reworked version of “Rock Bottom” featuring DNCE.
The collaboration, which was announced via Twitter (see below), represents something of a last-minute change. Hailee had lined up “Hell Nos and Headphones” as the next cut from HAIZ, but wisely opts for the EP’s best track instead. While we wait for the double threat’s DNCE-assisted single to arrive on February 26, take a listen to a snippet of a very promising new track called “Fragile.” At this rate, her debut LP could be something special.
