On The Verge: 20 Artists To Watch In 2016
We list 20 Idolator-approved newcomers to keep an eye on in 2016.

AURORA has been pegged by many — including us! — as one pop’s most exciting new voices. The Norwegian first made noise in early 2015 when sparse synth-anthem “Runaway” went viral. (It even got a Katy Perry co-sign!) She backed that up with excellent EP Running With The Wolves and a gorgeous, acoustic cover of Oasis’ “Half The World Away.” The latter peaked at number 11 in the UK, becoming her first international hit.

Since then the rising star has shown off her dark side with unsettling buzz track “Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)” and proven she is just as capable of writing an uplifting pop song with the euphoric “Conqueror.” The video arrives today (February 16) and it’s a suitably kooky affair that finds AURORA discovering her own strength. Her debut LP All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend drops March 11, 2016 via Glassnote. Watch up top.
