Coldplay's 'A Head Full Of Dreams': Review
We dissect the UK rockers' seventh & possibly final LP.

Let it be known that the so-called “flower of life” is not to be touched when it comes to album cover art. At least that’s the explicit message British punk-metal band Bring Me The Horizon sent to Coldplay at last night’s NME Awards, when singer Oliver Sykes jumped on the Chris Martin-led band’s table and proceeded to knock their glasses and bottles over before tipping the entire thing and hopping off.

It seems Bring Me The Horizon were less than thrilled that the “flower of life” depicted on their 2013 album cover art for Sempiternal — basically a grid of overlapping circles which, mind you, the band did not invent — was also adopted for Coldplay’s 2015 album A Head Full Of Dreams.

You can watch video of the drama unfolding in this video clip:

At any rate, boys will be boys, children will be children and thankfully no one was injured by flying glass or a swinging boot heel. Coldplay went on to pick up the NME Godlike Genius Award at the ceremony.

And speaking of currently-raging pop star beefs, Taylor Swift won out over Kanye West in the Best International Solo Artist category. You can see the full list of NME winners below.
