Kesha Fans Express Outrage At Verdict
Kesha's fans express their outrage on Twitter when a judge ruled in favor of Dr. Luke.

Earlier today (February 19), New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich refused to grant an injunction that would allow Kesha to effectively break ties with Sony/Kemosabe Records. Fans immediately rallied behind the pop star on Twitter, but the only peer that came to her defense was Halsey. It was disappointing, but not exactly surprising given the complete lack of support shown before the case went to court.

The tide seems to have turned somewhat, however, with a group of divas reaching out via Twitter. “My heart is with @KeshaRose,” Ariana Grande tweeted. “There are people all over the world who love you @KeshaRose,” Lady Gaga added. “And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery.” That represents something of a change of heart for Mother Monster given that one of her representatives called the case “utterly incomprehensible” in December, 2014.

While there’s a whiff of insincerity about those tweets, Kelly Clarkson kept it real. “Trying 2 not say anything since I can’t say anything nice about a person… so this is me not talking about Dr. Luke,” the inaugural American Idol winner quoted an outraged tweet from rockers Best Coast. Her commentary packs the heaviest punch given her close involvement with Dr. Luke for more than a decade (he co-produced “Since U Been Gone,” “Behind These Hazel Eyes” and “My Life Would Suck Without You”). It will be interesting to see if other collaborators — Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, for starters — have anything to add.
