Brit Awards 2016: List Of Winners
Adele took home a bulk of the statues at this year's BRITs.

Adele was the big winner at the 36th BRITs in London after picking up the statues for Best British Female, British Single, British Album and Global Success. In a touching moment, the 25 singer joined a growing chorus of other pop artists by saying she wanted to take the moment to “publicly support Kesha” while picking up her first award of the night.

Following Friday’s (February 19) court ruling where New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich denied issuing the preliminary injunction Kesha had been asking for to begin recording music outside of the company owned by her alleged physical and emotional abuser, Dr. Luke (aka Lukasz Gottwald), the singer went quiet on social media as a wave of support poured in from fans, her pop star peers and those outside the music industry.

But last night Kesha finally broke her silence with an emotional Instagram post.

“I am beyond words in gratitude. thank you is not enough but it is all I have. a million times over and forever thank you,” Kesha stated, while posting a close-up photo of her face. She went on to note that the support she’s received has left her “face swollen with tears,” and that “a statement too large for this format is coming.”
