Lady Gaga's haunting "Til It Happens To You" video finally arrived. Watch.

This Sunday (February 28), Lady Gaga will take the stage during the 88th Academy Awards and perform her nominated song “Til It Happens to You” from documentary The Hunting Ground. And none other than United States Vice President Joe Biden will introduce her at the event.

Biden, an advocate for curbing sexual assault on college campuses, was key in drafting the Violence Against Women Act Of 1994, a section of the Violent Crime Control And Law Enforcement Act Of 1994 that was signed into law by then-President Bill Clinton.

Acclaimed songwriter Diane Warren and Gaga collaborated on “Til It Happens To You” for Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering’s 2015 documentary The Hunting Ground, which focuses on rape on college campuses. The song’s powerful music video, which doesn’t shy away from the heavy material at hand, premiered in September.

This is the first time Lady Gaga has been nominated for an Academy Award, while “Til It Happens To You” marks Diane Warren’s eighth nomination — a run that stretches back to 1987’s Starship hit “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” which Warren co-wrote with Albert Hammond and appeared in Mannequin.
