Pop Perspective: Ariana Grande's "Focus"
The Idolator editors review and rate Ariana Grande's "Focus" out of 10.

After falling flat on her face “Focus,” Ariana Grande is hoping to bounce back with the title track of her third LP Dangerous Woman. The Donut-licking diva shares a snippet of the song on her website (click on the “tea” button) and it sounds like she’s retreating to the ballad-heavy territory of her debut album Yours Truly. As usual, the lyrics are largely incomprehensible, but it is a live snippet — so the studio version might be clearer.

The 22-year-old will perform the track for the first time on the March 12 episode of Saturday Night Live. Ariana is also expected to belt out previously-announced track “Be Alright.” In addition to promoting her new tunes, the “Love Me Harder” hitmaker will also host the show. After the failure of her last single, it will be interesting to see the reception “Dangerous Woman” receives.
