Two of the best dolls working in pop, don’t you know, are Tegan Quin and her sister Sara. They’re clever musicians and lyricists, they keep a low profile and they know their way around a damn catchy hook. Plus, the good news is, they’ve got new music on the way.

That is vinyl of our new album in Tegan’s hand. 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

We last heard from the pair three years ago via Heartthrob, an LP that was largely produced by Greg Kurstin (who more recently did an underground novelty song you’ve probably never heard of called “Hello” by Adele), and it quite deservedly landed on Idolator’s Best Albums Of 2013 list that December.

As we noted three months ago, Tegan and Sara completed the recording of their eighth album in the fall, and the ladies have now revealed a handful of small show dates.

Says the pair’s Facebook: “4 intimate shows. Old songs. New Songs. Los Angeles, New York, Toronto. May 2016. PRE-SALE STARTS THURSDAY! Passwords will be posted 5 minutes prior to on sale time. Public on sale starts Friday.

Dates below:

May 2 — The Roxy (Los Angeles, CA) May 3 — Teragram Ballroom (Los Angeles, CA) May 6 — CMW Fanfest (Toronto, ON) May 9 — Le Poisson Rouge (New York, NY)
