Blake Shelton kicked off hosting the Kids’ Choice Awards with a Star Wars-themed bang.
As you’d expect, fellow Voice mentors Pharrell and Adam Levine came to wish him good luck. But then Selena Gomez popped in, which had Blake asking if he could join her squad. Because Selena said no, Blake somehow ended up battling Stormtroopers on his own, waking up Nick Jonas in the process: “Does the Force have to awaken everybody?”
It’s no wonder that Gwen Stefani was tweeting last night (March 12), begging her followers to help her watch the awards show from Japan. (No, seriously.) Watch highlights from the opening sketch below.
