Gwen Talks Her Scrapped 2014 LP
Gwen Stefani scrapped an entire LP before releasing 'This Is What The Truth Feels Like.'

Against all odds, Gwen Stefani’s third LP This Is What The Truth Feels Like is shaping up to be worth the nine and a half year wait. After misfiring with 2014 singles “Baby Don’t Lie” and “Spark The Fire,” the No Doubt goddess went back to drawing board and sought out an entirely new batch of collaborators. The resulting material has been uniformly good, from raw ballad “Used To Love You” to counterintuitively perky buzz track “Misery.”

If the standard album isn’t long enough for you (let’s be honest, too much Gwen is never enough!), the Target edition contains four bonus tracks. The 46-year-old teased two of them — “Splash” and “getting Warmer” — on Twitter this afternoon and they both sound very promising. Co-written by Justin Tranter and produced by J.R. Rotem, they tap into the mid-tempo, confessional tone of the project. Listen to snippets below.
