Iggy Azalea’s “Team” Is Here: Listen
After sharing a few enticing snippets over the past couple weeks, Iggy Azalea‘s monster new single “Team” has arrived. It’s built on a metallic, laser-bass throb-and-snap that totally lives up to the album’s title, and even Iggy haters would have to admit this beat goes.
As for the rapping, she seems to be making a concerted effort to enunciate following that Iggy gibberish rap meme. But it wouldn’t be Iggy Iggz without some controversy: In what seems like either a tone-deaf decision or a pretty clear troll move, she unleashes a Jamaican patois for a few bars and interpolates Juvenile‘s “Back That Azz Up” on a few others, basically daring/inviting everyone to talk about her cultural appropriation again.
“Team” is the lead single off her forthcoming sophomore album, Digital Distortion. Iggy co-wrote the track, and it was produced by Chordz and Fuego and co-produced by Omega.
See if you’re fucking with the team below.
