Nick Jonas’ New Album ‘Last Year Was Complicated’ Out In June: See The Tracklist

Nick Jonas does indeed have a song called “Close” on the way (possibly tomorrow) — which very likely is the lead single from his forthcoming album, due out June 10. And how do we know this? Because the itchy-fingered 23-year-old crooner hopped on Twitter in the wee hours of the morning and tapped out the titles of every track on the damn thing. He even attempted to hold back the name of the album for an Instagram reveal later in the day, but ultimately declared, “Fuck it. I’m gonna tell you the title.”

And that title is — drum sample loop, please — Last Year Was Complicated.

Just how complicated was last year for Nick? Well, he’s got songs here titled “Chainsaw,” “Voodoo,” “Champagne Problems” and “Unhinged.”

But in all seriousness, he noted the following on Twitter: “When I first started making I thought I knew what it would be about… Then I had a breakup.” Jonas added, “It then became very clear what this thing would be about… And that I would need to dig really deep… Shit is too real sometimes… Reliving some of these real life experiences through this music is hard.”

Collaborators on the LP, says Nick, include Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign, Allen Iverson and recent Years & Years and Coldplay collaborator Tove Lo.

Last Year Was Complicated tracklist is below, per Nick’s tweets. The cover art will apparently pop up today on Instagram.

Voodoo
