Troye Sivan Has First Ever Late Night TV Interview With James Corden: Watch

For his first nighttime talk show interview, Troye Sivan revealed to James Corden that he celebrated the US chart success of his current Top 40 single “Youth” by eating sushi, even though he’s allergic to shellfish. “I’m like saving my bad boy years for a couple years down the line,” the 20-year-old singer admitted during his Late Late Show chat.

Sivan also said there’s not much fuss from the locals over him when he goes back home to Perth, Australia. “It’s so awesome. No one cares at all,” Troye explained. “I’ve have the same friends I’ve had since I was like two, and we literally, we just chill. It’s the best thing ever.”

Corden prompted Sivan to tell the story of how he recently helped a young fan come out to her mother during one of his concerts, by reading a note from her stating that she’s bisexual aloud on stage.

“The crowd went absolutely ballistic, and then I got off stage and I saw this video of Kelly and her mom meeting after the show, because I guess her mom was standing in the back, and it’s like — it’s an experience,” Sivan explained. “You’ve got to watch it. It’s so, so, so sweet.”
