JoJo joined forces with the kids of Staten Island’s Public School 22 for an emotional rendition of III. EP highlight “Say Love” earlier this year. It left everyone (with a beating heart in their chest) wanting more and today (March 29), the PS22 Chorus dutifully shares another collaboration from the pop star’s visit. They team up for a gut-wrenching rendition of “I Am,” a deeply autobiographical ballad she has been been performing on tour.

Apart from lifting spirits with excellent performances like this, JoJo has been putting the finishing touches on her decade-in-the-making third LP. “In LOVE WITH IT/ so anxious for you to hear,” the 25-year-old tweeted on March 22. “Done with all recording April 4th. Then mixing planning etc.” She also confirmed that the album will come out this year. At this point, it’s shaping up to be well worth the (decade-long) wait.
