Gwen Stefani last performed Saturday Night Live with backup dancers and drumline players. The No Doubt member gone solo was an alternate universe cheer captain in a leopard print bodysuit. When she did SNL again last night (April 2), however, playing it cool was the least of her concerns.

Gwen sang “Make Me Like You” and “Misery,” off her new chart-topper This Is What the Truth Feels Like. And she was happy to play up her swooning lyrics, pouting and making puppy dog eyes at the camera. (New beau Blake Shelton must have felt as if it were his own personal hollaback.) More Sandra Dee than Sandy, Gwen’s grins showed she seemed more than fine with that.
