Nicole Scherzinger Covers Jackson 5 Classic In UK Yogurt Commercial
Nicole Scherzinger hasn’t had a song on the radio for a couple of years, but UK residents will soon be blessed with (kind of) new music when they turn on the television. You see, the 37-year-old has covered classic Jackson 5 hit “I Want You Back” for a Mullers yogurt commercial. And her stripped-back interpretation, which transforms the Motown toe-tapper into a serene ballad, is actually rather lovely. It would just be nice to get some non-dairy related pop.
Those rumors of the Pussycat Dolls diva releasing a mixtape of unreleased material seem to be false and there is radio silence on her third LP, which she insisted would be released this year. “I’ve got a new deal coming out,” Nicole told the Huffington Post in late 2015. “It was rumored all this year that I was dropped and I actually wasn’t dropped… I’m really excited about this project and new music that I’m putting together.” While we wait for that to eventuate, watch the “Right There” hitmaker’s yogurt commercial below.
