The last time Adam Levine lent his voice to a movie soundtrack, on Begin Again‘s “Lost Stars,” the song earned an Oscar nomination. Clearly the writer and director of that film, John Carney, liked the results he got from the Maroon 5 frontman, as he’s enlisted Levine’s vocals once again for his new film, Sing Street (in theaters on April 15).

The movie is set in Dublin in the 1980s, and focuses on a 14-year-old boy who attempts to win the object of his affection over by casting her in his fledgling band’s music videos. And while the soundtrack is filled with classic ’80s hits by such acts as Hall & Oates, Joe Jackson, Duran Duran and The Cure, Adam Levine contributes one of the few new compositions, “Go Now.”

Above, watch Levine’s video for his latest movie song, then catch the tracklist for the Sing Street soundtrack (available digitally April 15) below.
