Big Sean and Jhene Aiko have released a short film as TWENTY88. Like their new joint album, Out of Love is about the dysfunction that can occur behind the scenes of a seemingly ironclad relationship. But the video, directed by Lawrence Lamont, has more twists than the music itself, much less anything we’ve come to expect from Big Sean and Jhene as individual artists.

These collaborators play a couple in the limelight, with Jhene dressed like Faith Evans meets Queen Nefertiti. They even film a sex tape to keep up appearances, only to out each other to some Johnny Carson lookalike. It all feels like a look into Love and Hip Hop, only with a surreal sci-fi bent. (The force is strong, for example, with the C-3PO-inspired chauffeur filming the couple sweating it out in bed.)

Watch the trailer for Out of Love at TWENTY88’s official website, then the short film in full at TIDAL. Look out for O’Shea Jackson, Jr., who portrayed his father Ice Cube in Straight Outta Compton.
