Marit Larsen's "Running Out Of Road" Video
Marit Larsen returns with "Running Out Of Road." Watch the wintery video.

Marit Larsen has been at the forefront of the Scandinavian pop scene for more than a decade, landing pan-European hits with acoustic gems “Don’t Save Me” and “If A Song Could Get Me You.” The Norwegian singer/songwriter fully embraces folk on a new EP called Joni Was Right, which she released earlier this month via Håndbrygg Records (her very own label). The five-song set is a tribute of sorts to the words and wisdom of Joni Mitchell.

While lead single “Running Out Of Road” exudes optimism and possibility, Marit finds herself in a darker mood on “Morgan, I Might” — a melancholy reflection on a relationship she hasn’t quite let go of. “[The song] is one of my personal favorites,” the “Out Of My Hands” hitmaker tells Idolator. “It turns out the more honest and personal I am in my lyrics, the wider the reach. It seems the bottom line is we’re all the same.”

We’re excited to premiere the video, which was filmed “in a beautiful old house on an island outside Oslo” up top. You can download Marit’s excellent EP here.
