Despite his pop pedigree, Rob Fusari is more known for being the ex-boyfriend of Lady Gaga rather than his producing career. The musician has worked with some for the world biggest acts, including Destiny’s Child and Whitney Houston, and is making the transition from producer to full-fledged music artist. The video for his single “Don’t Let Love Down” premiered online recently, and traces of Gaga’s artistry is readily evident.

The track was originally intended for Gaga’s debut album, The Fame, which included Fusari-produced songs “Paparazzi” and “Beautiful Dirty Rich.” The two of them wrote “Don’t Let Love Down” together.

“There were a number of songs that I had written with Gaga that had a very Beatles Abbey Road element to them,” Fusari tells the Gay Times. “In retrospect, I don’t believe that direction was true to who Gaga was as an artist.”
