A$AP Ferg & Missy Elliott Team Up On Unexpected House Anthem “Strive”

House music has returned to the forefront of pop’s consciousness in recent years, with stars as varied as Katy Perry and Kanye West dabbling in the genre’s sounds. But as widespread as the house revival has become, I don’t think anybody could have seen it spreading to A$AP Ferg. But here we are with “Strive,” Ferg’s stab at a summer dancefloor anthem. It features Missy Elliott, and the track is doubly surprising when you consider DJ Mustard is one of the producers.
Ferg’s gotta be the only rapper who has tried to channel both Kid Cudi and Pitbull on the same song. As for Missy, she casually steals the show.
