Meghan Trainor‘s latest instant grat track off forthcoming album Thank You (out May 13) is “I Love Me,” a collab with LunchMoney Lewis that can either be seen as a celebration of the self or, as the title implies on the surface, an anthem for the narcissist within. Musically, it’s a toe-tapping, jazzy, bluesy number with a run time of less than three minutes.

“They gon’ say all kinds of things, they’ll make jokes about my name / they gon’ try to clip my wings, but I’m gon’ fly,” Trainor sings here. LunchMoney Lewis adds, “‘Cause I’m sexy and it ain’t my fault, I ain’t waitin’ on nobody’s call / You don’t want me, baby, that’s your loss, I’ll be fine.”

When we chatted recently with Ricky Reed, executive producer of Meghan’s upcoming album, he gave us the lowdown on how he and the Grammy-winning singer met — and it involved LunchMoney Lewis.

“The first time we really met I was trying on a suit for the Grammys, but was only half way changed, thus wearing gym shorts and a Gucci jacket,” Reed recalled. “We were in with our mutual bestie LunchMoney Lewis and got super caffeinated and were off to the races. The first song we wrote in the room together was one called ‘Goosebumps’.”
