Tegan And Sara Release Quirky “Boyfriend” Video: Watch

On April 8, Canadian indie pop outfit Tegan And Sara released their synth-laden number “Boyfriend,” the lead single off the group’s eighth studio album Love You To Death. We praised the track in our Pop Perspective, calling it “joyous and anthemic — albeit with a bittersweet edge.” Now, the song has a video, and it seems that description holds true.

The clip sees the Quin sisters on a constantly shifting set, filled with furry dogs, cheesy green-screen backgrounds and neon-colored lighting. Directed by Clea Duvall, it features Parenthood stars Sarah Ramos, Mae Whitman and designer Rachel Antonoff, who acts as the visual’s frazzled “set-director.”

Watch the video below, and keep an eye out for their album, which drops on June 3.
