Adele's '25' Reviewed
Was the singer's anticipated third album worth the wait? We decided to find out.

After annihilating the record books with “Hello” and mega-selling LP 25, things went surprising quiet on the Adele front. Second single “When We Were Young” stalled at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, largely due to minimal promotion and buyer’s fatigue. Why download the song when everybody and their mother already has the album? It will be interesting to see, therefore, how the album’s third cut fares.

iHeartRadio has confirmed that Adele is sending “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” to radio in May. Produced by Swedish hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback, the comparatively uptempo track marks something of a departure for the Brit. It’s her first attempt at a contemporary pop sound and should appeal to a younger audience more than her gut-wrenching ballads. It might also fire up an era that, regardless of sales, felt like it was over before it really began.
