Fans of Ryan Tedder‘s band OneRepublic have been receiving postcards alerting them to news of the quintet’s forthcoming single, “Wherever I Go.” And how exactly do we know this? Because OneRepubic have been re-tweeting folks who’ve received the postcard, like this Twitter denizen:

For those who don’t read or speak French, the message roughly translates to the following:

You are first to know the title of our new single is “Wherever I Go”!

We’re working on something that precisely involves you. Here is what we need:

Please post a photo of this postcard in the most beautiful spot / highlight of your city with the hashtag #WhereverIGo to be part of what happens after!

More info on the new album to come.

From your good friends, OneRepublic

Good ol’ OneRepublic. They also added that the song is “new, modern, different,” and “unlike anything we’ve done.”

Tedder seems to be a hand-writing mood lately, as he scrawled the following for the band’s fans in mid-April: “Making an album is never easy. Attempting to make the greatest album of your life is even less easy. That’s what we have been doing, and while beauty is in the eye of the beholder and musical excellence is subjective, we think we have accomplished what we set out to do.”

The upcoming release will be OneRepublic’s fourth album since their 2007 breakthrough with “Apologize.” Now that was a jam.
