Chris Brown Announces New Single & 8th LP ‘Heartbreak On A Full Moon’
Well, that was quick! Chris Brown only just dropped 7th LP Royalty in December, but he’s already moving on to the follow-up. Over the weekend, Breezy announced the title of album number eight in a now-deleted Instagram post. (Peep a screengrab here). “New album Heartbreak On A Full Moon,” he wrote, before revealing another tidbit: “New single drops May 5.” To complicate matters further, the 26-year-old also dropped a mixtape with new group OHB.
Rihanna was famous for churning out an album every November until breaking her streak with ANTI, but Breezy takes it to the next level by leaving less than six months between releases. And it’s not as if Royalty was an abject failure. The album produced four hits (“Back To Sleep” being the most sizable) and was certified gold for combined equivalent units of 500,000. I guess he was just ready to move on.
