Nico & Vinz Jump On The Remix Of Alessia Cara’s “Wild Things”
Nico & Vinz are hard at work on the follow-up to international debut LP Black Star Elephant, but that hasn’t stopped them recording a long list of features (Matoma’s “Love You Right” and Alesso’s “I Wanna Know,” for starters). The Norwegian duo’s latest side-project is a remix of Alessia Cara’s “Wild Things.” They add a couple of verses to the Canadian teen’s rising hit, which has peaked at number 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 thus far.
“We knew it then, they say it now,” the “Am I Wrong” hitmakers begin the song. “Our fire’s always glowing.” Alessia then takes over, until later in the song when Nico & Vinz return for a verse. “Hello mama, I know we ain’t spoken in a while,” they confess. “If I didn’t pick up last night I was probably wasted or high.” It’s comparatively dark by the duo’s standards, but it suits the angst of the song.
