Demi Lovato's 'Confident': Album Review
Demi Lovato mixes it up with varying results on new album 'Confident.'

Demi Lovato stares defiantly at the camera on the cover of the June/July issue of Latina Magazine. That fierce attitude also shines through in the accompanying interview, which covers everything from her SnapChat obsession to dating. There are also some interesting music-related tidbit. “I don’t care about radio hits,” the 23-year-old declares at one point. “When you try hard for that, it doesn’t happen.”

“It’s songs like ‘Stone Cold’ that I don’t get tired of singing on tour,” she says in reference to her recent non-charting single. “I get tired of singing ‘Give Your Heart a Break’ and even ‘Confident’ already. I have yet to reach my peak, and also, my voice is better now than it was a year ago. Now I can show people what I can do.” That might sound like boasting, but recent live performances (see her iHeartRadio Music Awards star-turn).

Demi also opened up about Kesha’s legal woes. “I thought it was extremely brave of a pop star in the industry to come out and talk about that,” she says. “I do believe it’s very fucked up that he’s not letting her go, aside from all of the other stuff. I think women artists shouldn’t compete — we have to support each other.” See the hitmaker’s Latina cover below.
