Norway’s Astrid S Drops “Hurts So Good” Video

From Robyn to AURORA, Scandinavia is a hotbed for high-quality pop. The latest diva to make noise is 19-year-old newcomer Astrid S. She generated huge buzz with “Paper Thin,” the first song off her self-titled debut EP (due May 20), and has a viral hit on her hands with “Running Out.” The icy Matoma collaboration has racked up more than 60 million streams on Spotify and counting. Needless to say, expectations are high for her next single.
The Norwegian returns on Friday (May 6) with a new track called “Hurts So Good.” She unveiled the cover on Twitter today (May 3) and shared a brief snippet. It’s hard to tell given the brevity of the preview, but it sounds like Astrid’s latest has a relaxed tropical-house vibe. The teenager is signed to Island Records in the US and is currently opening for Troye Sivan on his European tour.
