Prince‘s untimely death was already devastating, but the further out we’ve gotten from his actual passing, the heavier and more troubling the reports have gotten. As police opened a criminal investigation amid rumors that the star was addicted to prescription pills, it was reported that he was scheduled to meet with an addiction specialist the day after he passed. And now there’s one more concrete piece in the addiction narrative, as the local ABC affiliate in Minneapolis reports that autopsy findings indicate the presence of Percocet in Prince’s system.

Percocet contains oxycodone and acetaminophen, and those were also detected, though it’s unclear at the moment how much of these drugs was present and how Prince acquired the meds. On that latter point, TMZ says authorities are looking into three possible crimes: doctors who overprescribed Prince, aliases used by Prince and/or his doctors to acquire the prescriptions and multilple pharmacies filling prescriptions.

The official cause of death is still weeks away as part of the toxicology report.
