Garbage Makes Us Woozy In New “Empty” Video: Watch

In advance of their forthcoming sixth studio album Strange Little Birds (out June 10), Garbage just released the video for lead single “Empty.” And the visual is just as dizzying as the song, itself.

Directed by music video legend Sam Bayer, the visual sees the alt-pop group performing the track amid technicolor lights while the camera smoothly spins around them. Frontwoman Shirley Manson glams things up by donning a fluffy coat at the beginning of the clip. She then proceeds to twirl around while belting the soaring track.

This is not the first time Bayer and the band have worked together. In fact, he directed their previous videos for “Stupid Girl”, “Vow” and  “Only Happy When It Rains.”

“As a good luck talisman, we feel we want to go back to him because he was the first video director we ever worked with,” Manson said in her recent with Idolator. “He seems amenable to it. We’ll see if we can pull it off.”

It seems they did.
