Mariah Carey Signs On To Direct & Star In Three More Hallmark Movies
Mariah Carey‘s television streak is going strong. The diva landed two Hallmark holiday specials last year, her E! reality show will premiere later this year and now Deadline reports the diva has signed a two-year movie deal with Hallmark Channel.
Carey will develop, executive produce, direct and star in three original movies for the network, and more importantly, she’s writing an original song for each. The first installment is set to premiere during Hallmark’s 2017 Valentine’s Day programming.
This deal follows last year’s A Christmas Melody for the network, which marked Mimi’s directorial debut and garnered nearly four million viewers, and Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas, which was the channel’s most-watched holiday special according to Deadline. It’s almost 2020 and against all odds, Mimi teevee is a hit.
