Clean Bandit Return With “Tears” Featuring Louisa Johnson: Listen

You know Clean Bandit. Of all the British house music revivalists that flooded their home country’s airwaves in 2014, they were the ones to cross over here in the States — and to introduce the world to Jess Glynne — with Top 10 single “Rather Be.” Several UK hits and a Grammy Award later, the dance-pop quartet are back with brand new single “Tears,” featuring 2015 X Factor winner Louisa Johnson on vocals.

The song itself is an “I’ll get over you!” anthem that Clean Bandit band member Jack Patterson, who co-wrote the tune (with Sam Romans) brands “a 1990s vision of a future breakup song.” In other words, it’s the lyrical opposite, or perhaps the aftermath, of the tale told in loved-up “Rather Be.”

“Tears” was released today for purchase on iTunes and streaming on Spotify.
