Pop Perspective: "Nothing Is Promised"
Mike WiLL Made It and Rihanna reunite for another banger. But does it top "Pour It Up"?

Taylor Swift knows how to treat her fans right. On June 4, she headed to Brant Beach, N.J., to crash Max Singer and Kenya Smith‘s wedding. The pop superstar acted as the wedding singer, as she performed a stripped-down rendition of 1989 single “Blank Space.” But Taylor was also a good guest who came bearing a special gift. She presented Kenya a watercolor print of a “Blank Space” lyric, “So it’s going to be forever.”

To be honest, to have Taylor perform “Blank Space” at a wedding seems like a terrible omen. (Remember, the hook goes, “So it’s going to be forever, or it’s going to go down in flames.”) But the couple actually has personal history with that track. According to Mashable, Max’s sister Ali wrote to Taylor about how he and Kenya actually tied the knot at a hospital room, so that the former’s mom could witness the ceremony — and dance to “Blank Space” with her son — before she passed.

Congratulations Max and Kenya!!
