Bastille Reveals The Surreal Cover Of New Single “Good Grief”

Bastille returned last week with a mysterious video announcing sophomore LP, Wild World. The British band ramps up the promotion today (June 9) by unveiling the cover of lead single “Good Grief,” which arrives on June 16. After the dark, Lynch-ian tone of their debut era, it looks like Dan Smith & Co. are heading in a surreal direction this time around — at least given the anxiety-inducing album trailer and quirky cover art.

The rockers broke big internationally in 2013 with criminally-catchy anthem “Pompeii.” The chant-heavy earworm reached number 2 in the UK and climbed all the way to number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, eventually going five-times platinum. They backed that up by landing radio hits with “Flaws” and the title track of debut LP, Bad Blood. Needless to say, expectations are high for their new music.
