Drake Rules Album Chart For Sixth Week

Drake‘s Views continues its Billboard 200 domination for a sixth consecutive week, following another 135,000 album units earned (32,000 of which were traditional sales). Billboard points out that this is the longest uninterrupted streak for a #1 album by a male solo artist since 50 Cent also racked up six weeks at the top with The Massacre, between March and April in 2005. (Note: Eminem‘s Recovery spent seven weeks atop the Billboard 200 in summer 2010, but they were non-consecutive.)

Despite Drake enjoying another day (er, week) in the sun, Paul Simon actually nabbed the best sales of the week (67,000) with his 13th solo album Stranger To Stranger. The music legend leads four debuts in the Top 10, including new sets by Danish heavy metal band Volbeat, country songbird Maren Morris and country duo Dan + Shay.
