Summer Love Blooms In Jonas Blue & JP Cooper’s “Perfect Strangers” Video
Jonas Blue landed a massive international hit earlier this year with a tropical house cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.” The track topped the dance chart stateside and came within a whisker of crossing over to pop radio — peaking at number 98 on the Billboard Hot 100. The British DJ should have more luck with “Perfect Strangers.” An original featuring rising singer/songwriter JP Cooper, this has summer smash written all over it.
Directed by Sashinski, the visual arrives today (June 14) and it finds a couple of tourists enjoying a holiday romance in a stunning African city. They take in the local culture, see the sights and make out against scenic backdrops. It’s upbeat and very summery, which is a nice fit for the song’s mix of tropical, pop and future house elements.
