Watch Carly Rae Jepsen’s Commercial For Japanese Shampoo Brand Moist Diane (Yep)
You may remember that Carly Rae Jepsen‘s pop masterpiece E•MO•TION was released in Japan nearly two months before we got it. It did pretty solid physical numbers there, and so it’s not surprising that CRJ has now done a Japanese commercial, that Western celebrity rite of passage.
She’s hawking Moist Diane shampoo (get your giggles out now, children) in a lengthy ad soundtracked by E•MO•TION lead single “I Really Like You.” The nearly two-minute spot shows Jepsen in the cupid role, whisking a woman off a bus and leading her to the airport gate where her lover is departing. Real rom-com wave. There’s barely any shampoo in the ad, but there’s plenty of good hair and dancing. And levitating.
