Aurora Interview
We speak to AURORA about her debut album, influences and love of winter.

AURORA cemented her status as one of 2016’s most exciting new artists with brilliant debut LP, All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend. The Norwegian singer/songwriter, who expertly blends electronic and folk elements, continues to promote the album with a strikingly beautiful video for new single “I Went Too Far” — a track about standing up for yourself. “We shouldn’t be crawling on our knees to be recognized, loved and accepted, because that is not good love,” she says. “Love should only be beautiful, not horrible.”

Directed by Arni & Kinski, who have previously worked with Florence + the Machine, the surreal video was filmed in Iceland and finds the 19-year-old climbing a ladder in the middle of the ocean. “AURORA is an amazing artist,” they rave. “There is purity in her art and bravery in her approach to creativity. This is why we felt drawn to work with AURORA… we would like the audience to find their own meaning in the video.” Watch up top.
