Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” Gets A Vintage House Overhaul By Cassius: Listen
Last week Idolator premiered the Black Madonna Remix of Robyn‘s 2010 Body Talk single “Indestructible,” part of the singer’s RMX/RBN series of hand-picked reworkings of her songs. The musical makeover continues this week with Cassius‘ take on Grammy-nominated Robyn classic “Dancing On My Own,” also off Body Talk.
Here, the French duo strip out all high-energy elements from the original version of the song, and replace them with a housey bed of sounds that sounds like it was ripped from a Chicago club circa 1988.
We should also note that today brings the Zhala & Heal The World Remix of nostalgic Body Talk track “Stars 4-Ever,” which you can listen to here.
