The 14 Albums That Topped The Chart In The First Half Of 2016: Have A Look Back

Throughout the first half of the year, the album chart has been ruled by rap kings, fierce pop queens, returning favorites and a pair of late greats who sadly left us much too soon. And since the nine-week reign of Drake‘s Views ended last week — a run that began way back in May — we felt it was a good time to pause there and revisit all 14 albums that ruled the Billboard 200 between January and June.

2016 started off with Adele‘s colossal 25 still in charge — an album that is close to hitting nine-times Platinum status. Is there another behemoth lying in wait this year? Things aren’t looking too good from a sales standpoint so far, but time will ultimately tell.
